We had thought we were being so clever and were always tactical about our theories... Or so we thought! From the outset we knew that none of the original Traitors (short-lived Hugo, moustachioed Stephen and Scottish Rachel) could be The Secret Traitor. But that still left us with plenty of suspects.
At the top of our lists: Retired Police Detective Amanda because, well she’s a retired police detective. Plus, she’s giving us serious Amanza from series one vibes. Then we’re leaning towards Crime Writer Harriet Tyce – not only because she’s behind psychological thrillers like Blood Orange and The Lies You Told, but also because she’s a genius and essentially rallied everyone to banish Hugo.
Oh, how wrong we were! Fiona how could you do this to us?
Although maybe we should have suspected something when she claimed that she'd been playing dumb all this time... Charlotte was right! The Welsh accent is more trustworthy!
What does The Secret Traitor do?
The Secret Traitor is a twist introduced for series four - an individual secretly chosen by Claudia who is responsible for creating a shortlist of all the murder options for The Traitors. As a result, they are the only individual in the entire game who knows all players true identities.
What happens now that Fiona has been revealed as The Secret Traitor?
Only the viewers and The Traitors know that Fiona was The Secret Traitor, and so she's now become one of The Traitors alongside Stephen and Rachel.
Will there be another Secret Traitor?
It’s highly unlikely that a second Secret Traitor will be selected once The Secret Traitor is revealed tonight. But this is The Traitors and honestly, anything could happen!
What’s the difference between A Traitor and The Secret Traitor?
Unlike with Traitors Hugo, Stephen and Rachel, viewers don’t know who The Secret Traitor is. In fact, only Claudia Winkleman (and we assume the producers) know who The Secret Traitor is.
Oh, and they also have a gorgeous red cloak instead of the usual green velvet number.
What happens in The Secret Traitor gets banished?
Whilst this may at first seem like a flaw in Claudia’s plan, we assume that The Secret Traitor would just reveal themselves to be a Traitor. The Faithfuls will be delighted and The Traitors will be completely shocked so a good time for the normies to scan everyone’s faces.
