Denise Welch has enjoyed a long and varied career which has included Soldier Soldier, Coronation Street and Loose Women, and she fully deserves the Best Actress accolade for her portrayal of French teacher Steph Haydock in the popular school drama Waterloo Road.
'What are the chances of being on stage as part of three awards and it's not on television. Gutted!' Denise says. 'It's one of the best nights of my life. I'm thrilled.'
