Oliver Lansley and Katherine Kelly in The Best Possible Taste

Katherine Kelly is starring in a 90-minute drama about innovative, zany and iconic broadcaster Kenny Everett.

Newcomer Oliver Lansley plays the late Kenny in a tale that concentrates on the unusual love story with his wife Lee Middleton, played by Katherine Kelly, who’s best known as Coronation Street‘s Becky McDonald.

The film also celebrates Kenny Everett’s life and career, including characters like Sid Snot and Cupid Stunt, and revealing how he went on to become one of Britain’s best-loved and rebellious broadcasters.

The Best Possible Taste is a bold celebration of Kenny’s unique talent,’ says executive producer Damien Timmer.

‘We’re thrilled to have Oli Lansley and Katherine Kelly playing Kenny and Lee in a story which encompasses pirate radio, Hot Gossip and the 1983 Tory party conference!’

Filmed in and around London, The Best Possible Taste will be broadcast later this year.
