As I arrive at ITV Studios in Manchester, I find myself tongue-tied. ‘I’m here for the event,’ I eventually say to the security guard at the gate. He stares at me blankly. ‘The Coronation Street celebration,’ I add, prompting him to smile and point me in the right direction.
