Emmerdale and Coronation Street stars will be out in force next month for a charity ball in memory of TV producer Gavin Blyth.
Gavin was series producer for Emmerdale when he died aged 41 in November 2010 from cancer, and the event in Manchester on Saturday, 18 February also marks the official launch of Once Upon A Smile, a charity partly set up in his memory.

We're in one of London’s swankiest hotels, The Savoy, for 2011’s TVChoice Awards, and I’m here to interview the winners as they come off stage. It’s lovely to see them all – even Jeremy Kyle (who wins Best Daytime Show) – as they really appreciate all the readers who have voted for them. We catch up with what they had to say...

On Monday, 15 August we sent our own Jessica Dady to personally inspect Channel 5's new Big Brother house, and meet the man who's stepping into Davina's slingbacks, the one and only former BB champ (twice!) Brian Dowling. Here’s how she got on…

With a menacing escaped convict, a handsome young man who has his heart broken and a nutty old bird in a decaying wedding dress, what’s not to like about Great Expectations? It’s probably one of Charles Dickens’s best loved novels which might explain why there have been more than 250 adaptations (stage and screen) over the years with another on the way this Christmas.

We last saw evil Morgana disappearing beneath the rubble of Camelot in the season finale of Merlin but fans can heave a sigh of relief as the delicious sorceress returns and is up to more wickedness in series four which is currently filming in Cardiff and France.

Normally, when I go on location, I don’t expect to end up in a supermarket. But that’s what happens when I visit Bristol to meet the cast of Sky1’s new comedy Trollied. This is no ordinary store, though. It’s a fictional one called Valco, built in a massive warehouse on the outskirts of the city for a talented cast featuring Jane Horrocks and Mark Addy.

Now nobody said the Shameless set was the Garden of Eden… and as we arrive at the huge lot in Stockport, just west of Manchester, we’re greeted by rows and rows of barrack-like houses, a red-brick police station where most-wanted felons decorate the walls, and the Jockey, the scary-looking pub and focal point of the Chatsworth estate, the sort of place which goes silent when you walk in.

Highclere Castle, better known as Downton Abbey, certainly doesn’t disappoint. Not only is it the epitome of an English stately home with its crenellations and old master paintings, but Robert, Earl of Grantham, is waiting in the hall to welcome us when we arrive on set. And he’s even dressed in full white tie and tails for the occasion, what a gent!

Viewers mourning the end of Waking The Dead after nine series haven’t seen the last of pathologist Dr Eve Lockhart, played by Tara Fitzgerald, who returns in a new spin-off show called The Body Farm.
The ghoulish-sounding establishment made the odd appearance in Waking The Dead, axed earlier this year, and now takes centre stage in a six-part BBC drama created in association with Projector Pictures, owned by Trevor Eve, better known as Det Supt Peter Boyd.

When I arrive at Bodmin Parkway, there’s a taxi waiting to take me to Port Isaac, a beautiful fishing village in Cornwall that has become a popular destination thanks to the success of Doc Martin. The show, starring Martin Clunes as a curmudgeonly GP, is filmed there (although it’s called Portwenn on screen) and shooting has begun for the fifth series.
