Tina McIntyre came in as a feisty love interest for David Platt, back in January 2008, and went on to gain fans’ sympathy when her good deed for friend Xin lost her boyfriend Graeme. The last year has seen her finally find true love with Tommy Duckworth, but thanks to his dad Terry’s debts, life’s been challenging, and Michelle has acted her socks off as the battling barmaid.
'This is amazing. I didn’t expect to be nominated for the award I have been, so it’s unbelievable,' says Michelle. 'I’ve got a really good storyline at the minute. I’m very lucky… the whole Kirsty and Tyrone, and thing with the surrogacy is all really good stuff.
'I’ve been at Corrie for four and half years now, it’s gone too quick. But I’ve been given so many good storylines, I’m really grateful.'
