Dave Myers and Si King have good reason to celebrate tonight. For the former make up artist and location manager have beaten Jamie Oliver and James Martin’s Saturday Kitchen as well as cookery show newbie Gok Wan to triumph. Bakeation, which saw them take a gastronomic tour, was their eighth show for the BBC, and they followed it up with Hairy Dieters: How To Love Food and Lose Weight.
'It's an award by the viewers, so that’s really a bit special,' says Si, and Dave adds: 'The TVChoice Awards have a proper sense of occasion.'
Meanwhile, Si adds about sponsors Daz: 'I have to say we love Daz – they wash your jeans lovely. We look like clean fellas with Daz.'
